Staff Civil Engineer

Job Description:

Stone Environmental Engineering & Science, Inc. (STONE) is seeking a hard-working Staff Civil Engineer who desires to handle a variety of job responsibilities, including drawing development (AutoCAD/MicroStation), project design, surveying, bridge inspection, and performing needed calculations. Proficiency in AutoCAD or MicroStation is a must, as you will be responsible for the development of quality construction drawings and site plans for civil and environmental projects.

Desired Skills:

  • Civil Engineering degree and documented proficiency in AutoCAD/MicroStation and GIS
  • Demonstrated knowledge of civil engineering design including coordinate geometry, horizontal and vertical alignment design, cross-sections, utility relocation, and earthwork and other quantity computations
  • Ability to learn how to design a variety of engineering projects and to perform survey work
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Takes pride in producing quality and accurate work, and dedicates the time and energy to accomplish this desire
  • Ability to manage time and workload efficiently which includes planning, organizing, prioritizing, and following-through on a variety of tasks to meet deadlines

 


CAD Technician/Designer

Job Description:

Do you want to have a direct impact on improving the world around you? Do you want to work for a small firm and be exposed to a wide variety of projects? Stone Environmental Engineering & Science, Inc. (STONE) is seeking a CAD Technician/Designer who wants to be responsible for the development of quality construction drawings and general site plans and figures for civil and environmental projects. This includes use of AutoCAD, MicroStation, and GIS. You will work together with engineers and scientists in developing plans, horizontal and vertical alignments, cross-sections, and other civil design/drawings on projects ranging from roads and bridges to wastewater treatment systems and park trails.

Desired Skills:

  • Associates Degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related field, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other characteristics consistent with the required qualifications
  • Experience developing construction documents from preliminary through final design for Ohio projects
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of AutoCAD, MicroStation and GIS
  • Experience working with survey data
  • Working knowledge of Windows
  • Demonstrated knowledge of civil engineering design including coordinate geometry, horizontal and vertical alignment design, cross-sections, utility relocation, and earthwork and other quantity computations
  • Ability to communicate well, both orally and in writing, using proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation
  • Ability to manage time and workload efficiently which includes planning, organizing, prioritizing, and following-through on a variety of tasks, projects, assignments, and reports to meet deadlines
