Phase I Environmental Site Assessment Standard and USEPA’s All Appropriate Inquiry Final Rule

The current Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) standard was last revised in 2005 and is currently referenced as ASTM E 1527-05. Stone Environmental is aware of and planning for rules changes. The more significant proposed changes will involve the REC definition, the Historic Recognized Environmental Condition (HREC) term, the Review Title and Judicial Records for Environmental Liens or Activity and Use Limitations (AULs) requirement, when the Regulatory File Reviews are warranted, and consideration of Vapor Intrusion as a contaminant.
