Bellaire Tier 1 and 2 – Bellaire, Ohio

As a first assignment under an ongoing Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) environmental contract, STONE completed a Tier 1 Source Investigation and Delineation for an ODOT legacy site with limited historical data. Field work was complicated by the current use of the site as a high-volume fast food restaurant, which necessitated attention to traffic control to prevent disruption to normal business operations. A Tier 2 Evaluation was subsequently completed, and the Tier 1 Delineation and Tier 2 Evaluation reports were submitted to the Bureau of Underground Storage Tank Regulations (BUSTR) simultaneously to streamline the review process. A ‘No Further Action’ (NFA) status was granted within six months of the project initiation, clearing this site from both ODOT’s and BUSTR’s books.

I just wanted to reach out to both of you & all of Stone for your outstanding effort, due diligence & professionalism on this project.

I’m certainly no ESA expert, but I was blown away by the detail contained in your report, especially given the tight timeframe that was required for delivery.

Please know that your work at Walnut Grove is very much appreciated by everyone here at POAH.

For the record, I am now a huge fan of Stone Environmental, and I hope we will continue our working relationship well into the future.

Doug Dempsey, POAH
