Construction Storm Water Quality Sampling and Analysis – Franklin County Engineer’s Office (FCEO) – Columbus, Ohio

STONE performed weekly water quality sampling at several roadway construction sites throughout Franklin County. Samples were collected after rain events from rivers or creeks affected by runoff from construction, such as Alum Creek, Big Walnut Creek, and Hayden Run. Surface water samples were collected upstream from the construction site, where the stream entered the construction project, and immediately downstream of the construction site, downstream of where runoff from the construction project could occur. Field parameters were collected in-situ by STONE using a multimeter, while surface water samples were collected and submitted for analysis of oil and grease, along with total suspended solids. STONE provided a letter report documenting the sampling and photographs documenting each sampling location.

“STONE Environmental was a pleasure to work with. From the planning process to our onsite visit. They knew exactly what we wanted and were able to deliver in a timely fashion.  The on-site field engineer was very resourceful and her attention to the small details was phenomenal. I will be sure to use STONE on all my future environmental surveying projects.”
