Topographic Survey and Base Map, Construction Layout – Ohio State University (OSU) Hospital East
Columbus, Ohio

The University Hospital East property at 181 Taylor Avenue has an existing courtyard with a terraced wall located on the south side of the building. Design plans were being prepared to replace/repair the existing wall.

STONE was contracted to perform a Topographic Survey, prepare a Site Base Map in AutoCAD, and perform construction staking related to replacement/repair of an existing terraced wall located in a courtyard on the south side of the building.

STONE was subsequently retained to provide additional construction layout for the contractor (Sunesis Construction), including staking the locations of foundation piles, often on short-notice. STONE provided mapping and details to the contractor following the layout.

Background checks and training was completed by STONE staff in order to work on the project site and to obtain contractor badges.

“Bayshore Environmental is very pleased to have engaged STONE to conduct a Phase II assessment of a contaminated commercial property.  The technical staff at STONE worked with us to develop an excellent program that entailed soil and groundwater sampling, testing and removal of drums of waste petroleum products, and the remediation of contaminated soil.  STONE conducted the work in a timely manner, produced an excellent report that was tailored to meet our needs, and all at a very reasonable cost.  We are pleased to endorse STONE and look forward to working with them in the future.”
