16-Mile Portsmouth Bypass – Portsmouth Joint Venture
– Portsmouth, Ohio
STONE was retained to assist with the Environmental Compliance for the approximate 3-year construction period for the realignment of the 16-mile long highway bypass around the City of Portsmouth. This is the first public-private partnership agreement for the ODOT, with an overall cost of $500 Million. STONE developed the Environmental Consultation Management Plan (ECMP) and the related list of environmental commitments for the project, incorporating a 10-year process of project resource and impact evaluation for the highway corridor.
“STONE performed the ecological survey, environmental sites assessment, wetland delineation, waterway permit for 20 culverts throughout Monroe and Washington Counties. They also prepared the environmental document. We got praises from Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) Office of Environmental Services (OES) about their performance. They were a pleasure to work with and were always very responsive.”
