Natural Resources Review – Columbus Recreation and Parks Department – Columbus, Ohio

STONE is completing natural resources reviews for 91 Stewardship Areas surrounding the Griggs and Hoover Reservoirs. Federal and State-listed species coordination was completed with both ODNR and USFWS. Field reviews consist of mapping and documenting all water resources, federal and state listed species habitat, and existing infrastructure. Proposed access and dock locations were reviewed to determine and assess natural resources impacts. Recommendations to modify proposed access and dock locations were developed in order to avoid and/or minimize impacts to resources. Deliverables include a summary sheet of coordination data, field review data, and recommendations, as well as a field review figure for each site, illustrating the resources and infrastructure.

I just wanted to reach out to both of you & all of Stone for your outstanding effort, due diligence & professionalism on this project.

I’m certainly no ESA expert, but I was blown away by the detail contained in your report, especially given the tight timeframe that was required for delivery.

Please know that your work at Walnut Grove is very much appreciated by everyone here at POAH.

For the record, I am now a huge fan of Stone Environmental, and I hope we will continue our working relationship well into the future.

Doug Dempsey, POAH
