Waterline Design Review

– Hudson, Ohio

As part of roadway widening plans for the City of Hudson, ms consultants (ms) added a 16-inch diameter waterline with tie-ins to City of Akron infrastructure and two existing hydrants.  STONE was contracted to provide QA/QC waterline plan oversight as well as develop the waterline notes and related special details.

The waterline crossed under a 60-inch culvert for a stream crossing and a 12-inch storm sewer, and required a 2 degree deflection at two points.  As part of the review, STONE developed the general notes relating to the waterline and the details for specific features, such as connections and thrust blocking.

“Bayshore Environmental is very pleased to have engaged STONE to conduct a Phase II assessment of a contaminated commercial property.  The technical staff at STONE worked with us to develop an excellent program that entailed soil and groundwater sampling, testing and removal of drums of waste petroleum products, and the remediation of contaminated soil.  STONE conducted the work in a timely manner, produced an excellent report that was tailored to meet our needs, and all at a very reasonable cost.  We are pleased to endorse STONE and look forward to working with them in the future.”
